Ecclesiastes and Wisdom

First, let us flesh out a bit more what we glimpsed earlier of the biblicaltheological conversation between Ecclesiastes and Israel's wisdom traditions. Here we will focus, rightly so, on the canonical material, but with a brief com ment on developments in Second Temple Jewish wisdom. Biblical wisdom is a diverse path. It is important to allow that diversity to stand, especially since such diversity reflects inner-biblical historical developments in the nature and task of wisdom for ancient Israelites.
